Welcome to the World of Databases

There are so many great web resources for anyone interested in databases, how they are
  • designed,
  • programmed,
  • and used
that I think that there is a need to document these resources as we have a chance to use them and evaluate those that are worth returning to and those that are not. This blog is dedicated to providing a location that will focus on fulfilling this mission.

I have worked professionally with manufacturing and financial databases for many years and I have been teaching about databases in various community colleges in Ohio and Nevada, in traditional and online classrooms, for the past 12+ years. But, far from knowing it all, I learn more every day and I look forward to hearing from you with similar interests as we continue that life long learning adventure. Please add comments and ask questions and we'll have a lot of fun with this!!

  1. I am interested to follow this and hopefully pick up some useful tips on using databases! I know they can be very important to use in small businesses, but I just don't think I have taken the time to research the benefits enough to implement them properly. Hopefully some of your information can help me out! :)
